At the foot of the hills upon which Cortona, the Etruscan city par excellance, rises, is this ancient country house, a splendid Medicean construction finely restored and transformed into 13 flats, 4 of which are holiday flats and the others are, more or less, lived in occasionally. The excellent position of this facility makes it the ideal starting point for relaxing walks and bike rides immersed in the unspoilt countryside following itineraries traced in the centuries by the farmers of the area and the banks of the numerous water courses that cross the Valdichiana. It is also easy to reach the Lago Trasimeno upon which some of the most characteristic towns face with ?trattorias? where traditional dishes are served. As sunset approaches, it is impossible to miss the charming sight of the majestic medieval castle of Montecchio, the woods and the towns dotted on the surrounding hills which light up with the colours of sunset while comfortably lying by the swimming pool?s edge (6 x 12, 1.50 deep)(15/05-30/09)surrounded by cultivated fields. Being close to the main tourist towns of central Italy with the numerous cultural and food-and-wine events render this place ideal for stays in every season of the year.
