This beautiful detached villa (self catering) with private pool and pleasing garden has large terraces with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The Villa Catalina enjoys the best of both worlds. The Montgri nature reserve with its rolling hills and rugged coves and the vibrant resort of Estartit with its picturesque harbour and expansive beach are both within easy walking distance. Also close at hand are supermarkets and restaurants. The villa’s two floors each have a self contained apartment with large lounges and well equipped kitchens. There are 6 bedrooms and three bathrooms. Facilities include two barbecues, two satellite TVs with DVD, CD and video, ample parking and laundry room with wash machine. There are plenty of sun beds to relax on by the pool and tables and chairs to dine al fresco in the garden. Both tastefully decorated lounges are in modern style with settees, easy chairs and pine dining suites. Central heating and a fireplace make it also ideal for winter.
With its wide sandy beach and close proximity to rugged coast line and gentle hills Estartit blends perfectly the facilities of a vibrant coastal resort with easy access to the countryside. With the first ever marine park in Spain, the diving is considered to be the finest in the Mediterranean. Not only is the sea area protected but the hills behind the villa are also protected providing a walker’s paradise with unspoilt coves and cliff top lookouts. The harbor area is ideal for a stroll and a drink or meal in the plentiful smart but inexpensive cafes and restaurants. There is a helpful tourist office to help you with sightseeing and activity ideas. The Pyrenees meet the med just a 40 minute drive away where Salvador Dali had his coastal retreat at Cadaques. Visit Barcelona on a coach excursion or by train from Flaca (20 minutes drive) plus Girona (1/2 hour’s drive) with its historic old town and Figueres (1/2 hour’s drive) with the main Salvador Dali museum.

The house has two floors. Each floor is a self contained apartment providing two families the luxury of being together but having privacy. On the ground floor there is a living room / kitchen, three bedrooms and a bathroom (shower and WC). Outside there is a second bathroom with shower and WC. On the 1st floor there is a living room, a kitchen and three bedrooms. There is a bathroom with bath/shower and WC. All of the bedrooms can be used as twins or doubles.

Notes:
All the bed rooms have twin beds which can easily be pushed together to make doubles. As the villa is on two levels each with its own apartment, both floors have their own kitchen and lounge with TV. There are three rooms on each floor. The top floor has bath with WC. The lower floor has shower with WC and by the pool there is another shower WC. There are plentiful terraces. 12 people could dine together upstairs or in the garden. The wash machine with dryer is in a separate drying room and not in the kitchen. In the 'Theme' section although the fact that you can walk to the beach and the resort aspect are important we also enjoy the extensive sight seeing possibilities with the Dali museum in Figueres, Girona and many other attractions easily reachable. Also the walking is very close by.
Golf information: The Villa Catalina is a golfer's paradise. Some of Spain's best courses are just a short drive away.
