In a quiet location, on the banks of the tree lined Canal du Midi, now a UNESCO world heritage site, this lovely house has a shady terrace where you can sample the local Corbières wine at the canal's edge. This modern, very well-equipped house has a beautiful kitchen/dining room with high beamed ceiling and French windows to two terraces and an attractively shaped pool with sun patio. The village of Ventenac has a wine château and museum, basic shops, canalside bars and restaurants and there is fishing, tennis and golf nearby. The historic village of Minerve with its ramparts and deep canyons is a major attraction. Nearby Narbonne has beautiful buildings, castle cathedral and water park. Mediterranean resorts are a short drive, as is the magical walled city of Carcassonne with its narrow streets, restaurants and museum. Pleasure boats can be hired at the château in the village.
