In the south of the Regional Natural Park of the Pre-Alps d'Azur, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region, Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne is located about ten kilometres from Grasse. Clinging to its perched belvedere, this postcard village between sea and mountains has all the assets to make you spend incredible holidays in the South of France.

About thirty kilometres from the beaches of the Gulf of Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne is located on a plateau overlooking the Siagne gorges, with a view of the Estérel and the Maures. Spread out between 95 and 771 metres above sea level, the origins of the village go back a long, long way, to the Neolithic period, as evidenced by the presence of a vast megalithic complex of 8 dolmens in the commune. Organized around its 12th century castle, the fortified medieval village is teeming with beautiful old houses with elaborate 15th and 16th century facades, decorated porches, vaulted passageways and ramparts, current witnesses of its ancient history. Take the time to stroll along its picturesque and narrow streets to appreciate the calm of this village which offers many viewpoints over the Siagne valley and the very first Alpine peaks. On the heritage side, during your strolls, you will certainly come across the Notre-Dame-de-Sardaigne chapel: built during the 12th century in a Romanesque style, it is distinguished by the splendour of its architecture as well as that of its interior, furnished with busts and reliquaries as well as Roman sarcophagi. The Notre-Dame, Saint-Ferréol and Saint-Saturnin chapels complete the religious heritage of Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne. You will also see a whole host of Roman and medieval bridges, wells (including that of the Virgin), as well as numerous fountains and wash houses scattered here and there throughout the town.

After a good tour of the medieval town, linger on the outskirts of Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne. Sunday sports enthusiasts and experienced hikers will find a wide choice of signposted itineraries for all levels of practice and all desires. A must to see? The cave of Saint-Cézaire. Discovered in 1980, this cave sculpted by water attracts visitors for the splendour of its network of underground galleries, formed nearly 6 million years ago. Its botanical trail, but also its tree climbing area make it a must if you are staying with your family in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne. By bike, we can only advise you to go to the Saut-du-Loup waterfalls, or to the lake of Saint-Cassien. A bubble of coolness during the summer heat, this site, the most visited in the Pays de Fayence, is a small paradise for water activities. Of course you can walk and cycle there... And after enjoying a meal with your feet in the water, pedal boat rides, fishing, rowing, swimming and inflatable games will complete your visit.
