The town of Moliets is the ideal destination for a peaceful holiday in the countryside. Renowned for its beach, its golf and its rich natural heritage, Moliets has plenty of activities to practice and landscapes to discover.
The town has two beaches that delight every summer the holiday makers. The main beach, due to its imposing dimensions, is typical of the beaches of the Landes. There is a sports area for all kinds of beach sports. The mouth of the Courant d'Huchet finishes its course, which contributes to the fisheries richness of this zone. From the dune in front, a splendid view of the Atlantic Ocean is offered to you. The second beach of Moliets, that of the Chênes Lièges, is more intimate. Accessible only by foot or by bike, it is nicknamed "green beach" by the locals. Surfing is also famous for the Landes coastline and Moliets is not left behind on this point. Several schools offer the opportunity to participate in courses or simply take courses, as well as hire snowboard equipment.
Golf enthusiasts will surely go through the Moliets golf course, which offers a golf course chosen as a training center for the French Golf Federation. Made in the 80's, it is playable all year and is accessible to any public. Non-golfers can also go there to enjoy the scenery. The location of the golf course on the forest allows to enjoy a panorama of the first order. There is also a tennis court, which offers courts for rent, offers advanced training courses and even organizes tournaments.
As for heritage, Le Courant d'Huchet, a site classified as a nature reserve in 1981, links Léon Lake to the Atlantic Ocean. You can meet there an exceptional fauna and flora, as well as the last mouth of the Atlantic coast not shaped by the man. It is always punctuated by the weather and the tides, and therefore offers you a changing landscape. The best way to discover the nature of Moliets is walking and cycling. Signposted footpaths were traced on 4 to 8 km circuits. They take you to the Landes forest and the banks of the ponds, from which you can practice fishing.

The Pomme de Pain bakery in Moliet et Léon is great. On the other hand, the Campistron caterer: chicken good but potato gratin awful and too expensive (15 euros per kilo).

Don't miss: "La Cave à Moules". No reservation possible and a certain expectation but it's for pleasure! Very nice walk around the Huchet current, if you are lucky enough to book the boatmen for a boat trip, it's even better. A very nice canoe trip from Castet on a winding river full of water. Accrobranche and Karting are also nearby for the daredevils.

We ate in a small restaurant just next door on foot (in addition to this period little open restaurant) and very pleasant welcome, very well served (in the area in front of the spars): "Ohana Bistro", very good and very generous (good for adults and children).
