The region of Valencia has much to offer tourists. It is divided into 3 provinces, Castellon in the north, Valencia at the heart of the region and Alicante in the south. Valencia's landscapes are stunning and the Mediterranean coastline which stretches over 500km contains some of the Most popular tourist resorts. The region of Valencia is known as the Garden of Spain. The Castellon province is rich in culture and has a mountainous setting. The province of Valencia contains the region's capital of the same name and possesses some charming coastal towns. You can also find the ancient Roman city of Sagunto and towns which are renowned for their vineyards. Alicante is of course famous for Costa Blanca, 200km of coastline containing the famous towns of Benidorm and Alicante. The climate of the region is generally mild as a result of its Mediterranean location and the well-known dish paella also originates in Valencia.
