In the Hautes-Alpes department, Risoul 1850 welcomes you, summer and winter, in the intimacy of its exceptional environment. Between high peaks, immaculate greenery or whiteness and plenty of activities, you will be quickly conquered.
At the gates of the Écrins National Park and the Queyras Natural Park, Risoul 1850 offers you a majestic mountain setting. In winter, the White Forest ski area is a real paradise for skiers and snowboarders. With its 185 kilometres of slopes, it is the 13th largest ski area in France and its modern infrastructures allow to reach the summits very quickly, limiting the waiting time. Its Olympic downhill track and Zing (Zone d'Initiation aux Nouvelles Glisses) will delight fans of speed, freestyle and boardercross. But you can enjoy the snow in many other ways: cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (17 km of slopes), sledging, ice climbing, paragliding...
In summer, the landscapes become greener again and Risoul 1850 invites you to discover new sensations. With its 70 kilometres of marked trails, you can enjoy, on foot or by mountain bike, the immense larch forest, pastures and superb views from the summits. By bike, take the roads of the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour de France and tackle mythical passes: the Galibier, the Izoard, Vars... After these efforts, relax and refresh yourself in the swimming pool of the resort which offers slides and waterfalls. But if you still want to work out, you'll be spoilt for choice : tennis, horse riding, paragliding, adventure course, downhill scooter and, in the Durance valley, rafting, canyoning, climbing...
During your stay in Risoul 1850, also take the time to visit the various hamlets of the commune. Before the ski resort was established in the mid-1970s, the village of Risoul was inexorably depopulated, victim of the rural exodus. After construction, the village has been repopulated while retaining its charm of yesteryear: traditional chalets, 16th century Romanesque church, fountains, oven... Near the resort, you can also offer some escapades to sites not to be missed: Fort Vauban du Mont-Dauphin, Lake Serre-Ponçon, Briançon. And don't forget to take advantage of these excursions to taste the local flavours: turtons, donkey ears, seille, apples, honey desserts...

Very nice holidays where the sun was at the rendezvous! Lots of activities for our children of 4 and 8 years old: tree climbing, pony, bowling, orienteering, swimming pool (skiseo).
