At the foot of the famous Col de Galibier, the tourist resort of Valloire offers the possibility to discover splendid mountain landscapes such as the mountain lakes of Cerces or Rochilles and the forest of Telegraphe. Composed of 17 hamlets, its location allows you to practice a large number of activities related to nature. Guides and guides are at your disposal, 135 km of marked trails have been laid out to facilitate the hiking tours and bike rental services are available to make your walks more sporty. The resort also offers an unusual feature for children : walks with llamas !

For the less sunny days, the Cultural Center of the AEP (Association of Popular Education) offers you a cinema, a library and exhibitions. Events are organized in order to make you discover or deepen your knowledge of Savoy and the Alps.

For the sportsmen who wish to stay in Valloire, the choice is again very varied. Among the physical activities proposed, you are spoiled for choice : paragliding, microlight flights, golf, swimming pool, skating rink, equestrian center, tennis, fishing... Valloire is also equipped with a wellness and fitness center including a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Art lovers can visit the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, a baroque Savoyard architecture consecrated in 1682. The very sober exterior of the church hides in reality sumptuous decorations inside.

The Cultural Center offers themed courses focusing on recreation, culture and sport. Kid's Park also opens during the summer : it provides electric karts and quads for children. Ascent to the Lac de la Vieille with the gondola lift with gourmet coffee at the top at 1€ (very good).

Two very good tables among others "La Table d'Angeline" and "Le Chalet de Montissot" (altitude restaurant) as well as "Le Marmiton". (link Valmenier). Weeks 03 and 04: ice and snow sculpture competition + fireworks (great atmosphere). Info village Valloire: very beautiful family village ++

The most beautiful outing we have done is the cable car ride to La Grave at 3200m with a visit to the ice cave: it is worth it but you have to drive a bit over the Galibier pass (beautiful panorama).
