A small family seaside resort, Llafranc invites you on a journey between tradition and modernity. An old fishing village, this charming little corner of the Costa Brava has indeed opened to tourism while preserving its authenticity and beautiful natural setting.
A coastal hamlet dependent on the city of Palafrugell, Llafranc seduces with its charming green bay. Next to the small marina, the beach extends over 300 metres and offers the advantage of being directly accessible from the centre of the village. Ideal for idleness and swimming, it also invites you to practice many nautical activities : sailing, windsurfing, paddle... If you prefer diving, go to one of the small coves in the eastern part of the bay or, even better, join, by boat, the Formigues islands. Located off the Pointe d'en Canet, this archipelago has an incredible wealth of sea beds with fabulous multicoloured gorgonians.
Then enjoy the charm of the village and its small streets lined with white houses. While strolling, you can appreciate the church of Santa Rosa de Lima and, just next door, an old wine press from Roman times. But also visit the beautiful village of Palafrugell situated on the foothills of the Gavarres massif. You can admire the Gothic church of Sant Martí, the San Sebastian tower and the ancient walls. Also take the time to see the Cork Museum which presents the production methods and the different uses of cork of which industry was one of the main wealth of the city. In the inner courtyard of the museum, don't miss the Can Mario Tower, a superb iron structure built by the architect General Guitart i Lostalo.
With its privileged environment, Llafranc also invites you to beautiful walks. By taking the round path towards Tamariu, you can reach San Sebastian Cape, a superb rocky promontory that rises 167 metres above the sea and houses a lighthouse and a hermitage. In the other direction, the path will lead you to the pretty village of Calella de Palafrugell then to the superb botanical garden of Cap Roig. After a good day of activities, treat yourself to a gourmet break by tasting, facing the sea, the specialties of the region : chicken with langoustines, meatballs with cuttlefish, suquet, caldereta...

In April few stores are open in llafranc except for some expensive beach restaurants. Do not hesitate to take the pedestrian path on the right along the sea towards the apartment because of the magnificent views, it leads to beautiful small beaches (800m) less frequented (end of April) along Calella de Pallafrugel with pretty houses, a charming little village to visit where the shops are open
