Province Las Palmas

Las Palmas is located in the north-east of the Spanish island of Gran Canaria. It enjoys a subtropical climate with temperatures ranging from mild to warm throughout the year. There are various sites to see including several museums, theatres and the Casa Museo Pérez Galdós, the birthplace of the leading Spanish novelist, Benito Pérez Galdós. The city has four main beaches, Las Canteras, Las Alcaravaneras, La Laja, and Confital. The province, as well as being typically Spanish, also has African, Chinese and Indian influences. The oldest district is Vegueta, a UNESCO Heritage Site, which also has some of the best bars and restaurants.
