It is on the banks of the Costa Blanca, in Spain, that is the very lively seaside resort of Benidorm. Popular with families but also young people, Benidorm has many assets to make you spend a superb holiday at the sea.
Located in the province of Alicante, Benidorm is the most popular destination on the Costa Blanca. Its mild temperatures throughout the year, but also its clear waters, beautiful beaches and numerous sports and tourist activities contribute to its growing reputation.
The old town of Benidorm is worth a visit : take the time to get lost in its narrow streets and discover its lively squares while doing a little shopping. Visit the church of San Jaime, the belvedere castle and its "Balcony of the Mediterranean" from where you will have an unobstructed view of the city and the beaches. Cross the threshold of one of the many restaurants in the town to enjoy a good paella, stuffed squid, tapas and many other dishes made from rice and seafood.
On the beach side, take a few moments to enjoy a swim in the transparent waters of Benidorm. The town has two white sandy beaches, the beaches of Levante and Poniente, separated by a small mound. On the program : sunbathing, idleness, entertainment and water activities under the sun ! Benidorm's beaches are a paradise for children and offer many water activities, from water-skiing to inflatable games on the water. The city is also famous for its theme parks: Aqualandia, Aqua Nature and Terra Mitica are overflowing with slides, wave pools, water games, merry-go-rounds and other bumper cars in which young and old can have fun with their families. For their part, holidaymakers who prefer the tranquility and intimacy of the creeks can find their happiness in the magnificent coves of Almadrava or Tio Ximo, at the foot of the Sierra Helada mountain.
From Levante beach, board a boat to Benidorm Island. Once there, you can climb to the top of the island to admire a panoramic view of the surroundings. More unusual: board a submarine, with family or friends, to contemplate the richness of the Benidorm seabed.
Back on land, hikers will have a rendezvous with the cliffs of the Sierra Helada Natural Park: 300 meters high and facing the sea on some 5600 hectares, they are the favorite place for trekking aficionados. Through marked trails like the "Blue Route", you will discover the beauty of this park, its coves, but also its fauna and flora. Climb up to the Albir lighthouse and don't forget your camera in order to immortalize the magnificent panoramas that will be offered to you from its heights. Divers : bring your mask and snorkel, this is an ideal place to explore the seabed.
Finally, at nightfall, the city centre of Benidorm takes on the air of a huge party : restaurants, bars, trendy clubs and discos by the sea attract many young holidaymakers, curious to taste the Spanish fiestas, which promise wild nights.

Indeed, it is indeed the "little New York" in Spain, for families and party-goers alike, a beautiful beach, shopping centres, themed bars/restaurants and many activities... The only negative point is the parking because there are many kidnappings.
