On the ocean side, Lège-Cap Ferret invites you to enjoy 25 kilometres of fine sandy beaches. Ideal for swimming and lounging, they are also a favourite place for surfing. With schools scattered all along the coast, you will soon become a pro. But also let yourself be tempted by other sensations : kitesurfing, sailing, sport fishing... On the pool side, choose among the 20 beaches which are offered to you. Intimate, family, tropical, overlooking the Dune du Pilat ? You can choose the one that suits your day and embark on many adventures : boat trip, kayak, paddle, pirogue, diving, jet-ski, parachute, towed buoy...
Then set off to discover the station. Composed of ten villages, Lège-Cap Ferret has a varied, scattered and surprising heritage. In Lège, enjoy the neo-Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre, the old town hall, the old train station and the Lotissement, one of the first works by Le Corbusier, a listed historical monument. At l'Herbe, admire the Sainte-Marie chapel of the Algerian Villa. Built in 1885, it has the particularity of having a neo-Moorish style and of having, on its bell tower, the two symbols of the cross and the crescent moon. At Cap Ferret, make the effort to climb the 258 steps of the lighthouse to enjoy a fabulous panorama and then offer yourself a more relaxing ride on board the little train.
After this exploration of the architectural heritage, enjoy all the natural riches of Lège-Cap Ferret. Thanks to its numerous hiking and cycling paths, join, for example, the national reserve of the salt meadows of Arès. This vast wetland impresses by the diversity of its fauna and flora but also by its landscapes with changing colors. Then discover the Piraillan reservoirs with their sumptuous centenary pines and the pond canal. On the way, take a few breaks in the oyster farming villages and enjoy a few oysters in the shade of the huts. If it's lunch or dinner time, taste the other specialties too : fresh fish, duck magrets, duck fillets, Bordeaux wines...

Not to be missed is Cap Ferret and its lighthouse as well as the tip of the cape. The small fishing villages are very pleasant and invite you to stroll around.
