No question of getting bored in Soulac-sur-Mer ! Moreover, the word "boredom" does not belong to the local vocabulary. This seaside resort in southwestern France, in the department of Gironde, assumes with ease its Gascon temperament.
Not content with being a commercial hub and important services of the region, it is also a renowned tourist center which welcomes every year thousands of holidaymakers. These include the 7 kilometers of beach along the coastline. You can book a tent for the day. The accumulation of these canvas huts with their white and blue stripes accentuates the picturesque aspect of these beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. It is possible to move there on board a somewhat particular means of locomotion. The "tiralo", a kind of large tricycle, is specially designed to be able to ride on sand. This attraction reflects the state of mind that prevails in the small coastal town : both fun and relaxed.
Another example : the game of track accompanied by a naturalist guide who allows to discover nature in the city. Organized every Wednesday, from July to August, this atypical course will not fail to surprise you. The less adventurous will perhaps opt for the small tourist train that connects Soulac, Le Verdon and La Pointe de Grave.
Soulac-sur-Mer is also illustrated by its perfect mastery of gascon gastronomy. The covered market, accessible all the year, makes it possible to obtain the products of the fishing or the famous prepared olives. The Gastronomic Fair, which takes place during the summer period, brings together artisans, winegrowers and craftsmen to discover the soil of Soulac-sur-Mer.
Finally, do not leave the city without having previously participated in a tasting of Médoc wines, whether it is the Château de la Croix, the Haut Gravat, the Moulin Rouge or the Castera. More than a thousand domains are listed throughout the vineyard. To consume, of course, in moderation.

Restaurant: "Le LB" (formerly "La Bolée"): delicious cuisine, not only a pancake shop, but also a traditional restaurant, in a great setting, with top quality service! Sheltered terrace: I recommend it thoroughly! Beaches: the one in the huge city centre, or the one a little further south (on the left when leaving the Residence "Le Domaine des Sables"), or the one in Amélie (3 km), very small but in a sheltered cove and without waves.
