At an altitude of 1200 metres in the Vercors regional nature park, Gresse-en-Vercors welcomes you, summer and winter alike, in a unique environment. Facing Grand-Veymont, the village will seduce you with its authenticity, its gentle lifestyle and the many activities it offers.
The highest village in the Vercors Massif, Gresse-en-Vercors covers itself in winter with a snowy white mantle and offers everyone the joy of tasting snow sports. In the heart of a preserved nature, you can practice alpine skiing on 26 slopes of all levels. Ideal for families and beginners, the ski area has an area reserved for learning, supervised by instructors from the French ski school. The more experienced can have fun in the snowpark or jump on the springboard and lovers of tranquility will be delighted to practice cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the Nordic area. But you can also enjoy ice climbing, luge or laser-biathlon.
In summer, Gresse-en-Vercors is just as welcoming as in winter. Between mountain pastures, forests, high plateaus and summits, hikers can enjoy the magnificent landscapes of the Vercors Natural Park and families can follow several marked trails to discover the mountain fauna and flora. If you prefer cycling, you can set off to conquer numerous passes (Vernay, Arzelier, Allimas) or take the 6 signposted mountain bike routes from the village. To vary the pleasures, the resort will allow you to practice many other sports such as golf, archery, tennis, climbing, accrobranche, canyoning, paragliding...
During your stay in Gresse-en-Vercors, also offer yourself some escapades in the surroundings. Nearby, visit the historic capital of the Trièves, Mens, which will surprise you with its cachet and the diversity of its heritage. On the road, stop near Lake Monteynard-Avignonet, with its turquoise waters. You can go windsurfing, kitesurfing and, if you don't feel dizzy, take the Himalayan footbridges that span it. After a trip to the hills, stop off at the Sun Valley terrace, where you'll find a warm welcome and good value for money. Bike rental (VTC and VTT) at Grillet Sport = a smile, explanations and a wide range of circuits = worth a try.

No good table to recommend in this pandemic context... however, a visit to the Grand Veymont farm is very interesting: both cultural on how a farm works and emotional when you see the animals.

Beautiful area. Not to be missed: the Himalayan footbridges, the Chorange caves, the Combe Laval, the Odysée Verte, the Monteynard lake, the tour of the Mont Aiguille... Good restaurants: "La Bergerie" in Villars de Lans, "Le Sun Valley" in Gresse en Vercors.

Restaurant: "The Sun Valley". Ferme du Grand Veymont : visit and shop (everything perfect - very nice couple - good cheeses bought). Bike rental at Grillet Sports very good, good advice. Very good baker but buy the tradition (very nice saleswoman). Excursion to Lake Monteynard, nice landscape and environment. You have to cross the Ebron footbridge (sensations to do).

Swimming at Lake Le Sautet, full of activities await you: zip line, pedal boat, paddle boat, electric boat at very reasonable prices. Nice hike on the footbridges at Lake Monteynard.
