At the gates of the Mercantour park, La Foux d'Allos offers you a privileged setting to enjoy winter sports. Under the generous sun of Provence, its ski area is connected to that of Pra-Loup to offer you twice as much sensations. You will thus have 79 pistes of all levels, with a total length of 180 kilometres for downhill skiing, snowboarding, telemark, free-ride or freestyle. If you prefer to enjoy the mountain massifs while taking your time, go to one of the two Nordic sites of the resort and take advantage of the 78 kilometres of pistes to practice cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.
In summer, La Foux d'Allos invites you to taste the pleasures of the mountains in a different way. Between Mediterranean softness and alpine landscapes, the numerous hiking trails of the Val d'Allos and the Haut-Verdon will allow you to discover incredible places. Go to Lake Allos, a true jewel of nature, in the Mercantour Park, renowned for its exceptional fauna and flora, or in the gorges of Saint-Pierre, one of the most beautiful sites in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. But the resort offers many other activities : mountain biking, paragliding, horseback riding, tennis, archery, canyoning, rafting, long hours of relaxation in the leisure park or a few minutes of sensations on the village's flagship animation: the Verdon Express, a multi-season toboggan run of over 600 meters.
Your stay at La Foux d'Allos will also give you the opportunity to appreciate the unique heritage of this mountainous region. As you walk through the streets of the village of Allos, you will discover ovens, wash houses, farms and mills that bear witness to past activities. You can also admire numerous chapels and the Notre-Dame de Valvert church, built in the 13th century and listed as a historic monument. Near the resort, also make a little getaway to Colmars-les-Alpes, a superb mountain village fortified like a citadel. Finally, take the time to taste the products of the Haut-Verdon region : cold meats, goat's cheese, sheep's cheese, tomme, honey, genepi and the famous macaroons of Allos.

We tested 2 restaurants: "Le 106" for a fondue. Very good welcome, a good evening. The "Why not" for cheese specialities. Very disappointed... beware of the rave reviews on TripAdvisor. Activities for children: summer toboggan at the top, Val d'Allos leisure centre super, hiking to Lake Allos very well. We can see the groundhogs. Otherwise, there are more activities to do in Barcelonnette via the Allos pass (beautiful landscapes, Cayolle pass, Larche pass with lots of marmots, Serre Ponçon lake and Pra Loup).
