In the heart of a particularly unspoilt natural environment, Gastes, a small seaside resort in the Landes, is inviting you to come and discover its different faces. Sea, lake, gourmet cuisine, sun and outdoor activities, this is what awaits you if you choose Gastes for your holidays.

What marks when you settle down in Gastes is the almost ubiquitous presence of the forest: the Landes forest, thick and generous, is truly the green lung of Gastes, perfect for long walks in the coolness of its century-old trees. Gastes' main asset? Be located on the banks of the Biscarosse and Parentis lakes, with an area of more than 3500 hectares. Its family beaches are very popular with tourists, who come here with their families or friends for beautiful breaks to swim under the Landes sun... But not only! A renowned nautical base with four harbours, it is popular with fishermen and boaters, as well as snow sports enthusiasts who can enjoy a wide range of activities according to their desires. On the agenda? Canoeing with the family, introduction to waterbike, windsurfing courses, surfing lessons, towed buoy sessions with friends, windsurfing, surfing ("of course", you are here in the Landes!), fly fish, wake-ski, catamaran, sailing, canoe trips, pedal boat... If you prefer oceanic activities to lake activities, head for the wonderful beaches of Biscarosse, located just 10 minutes from Gastes! The flagship activity? Surfing, of course! Renowned as one of the best spots in France, Biscarosse attracts many holidaymakers to its waves every year, from beginners to professionals. And if you don't like surfing, you can always opt for a water-skiing, paddle or wakeboard ride: there are many activities along the ocean squares, so everyone will find something to suit them.
