Lower-Normandy is made up of the Western part of former Normandy and the Northern part of the former Perche province. Its geographic location determines its gastronomy which benefits from fertile land providing plenty of agricultural products and the sea which generously supplies fish and various shellfish. Normandy loves good food and its gastronomy is mainly characterised by its agricultural and seafood products. Its dairy products are of the highest quality: the Norman use of butter and cream in their cuisine is legendary.
