Located in the commune of Guillaumes in the Alpes Maritimes, less than 90 kilometres from the Mediterranean coast, Valberg is a real jewel nestled in the valleys of the Mercantour National Park. A family ski resort, Valberg offers its visitors unrivalled views and the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of sporting activities.
With its generous sunshine, Valberg conquers the hearts of many holidaymakers every year. On the agenda for your stay: skiing, of course! Spread out between 1500 and 2011 metres, the resort has 90 kilometres of beautiful alpine ski slopes, as well as a Nordic domain and a myriad of snowshoeing routes. In detail, on the alpine side, there are 56 slopes waiting for you: 11 green, 11 blue, 28 red and 6 black slopes will satisfy beginner skiers as well as experts in skiing. When it comes to cross-country skiing, there are 25 kilometres of trails that will delight nature lovers, spread over 3 trails: a blue trail called "La Sagne" (1 kilometre) and two red trails called "Cumba Clava" and "Plateau Saint-Jean" (12 kilometres). However, other snow sports activities are not ignored in this family resort: snowboarding is very popular there, and fans of new snow sports can enjoy the modules of the Valberg snowpark and have fun on its Big Air Bag. Valberg Park on the X-Tony track (Eguilles sector) will suit experienced riders, while Family Park will appeal more to the youngest and holidaymakers looking for fun experiences in the Vasson sector. Very spread out, this domain offers fans of wide open spaces the opportunity to ski freely, far from the crowded slopes of the very popular resorts. From the summit of Pra Brûle to the Tête du Sapet, passing by the Croix du Sapet and the Culots, the Dôme de Barrot and the Tête de Rigaud, you will discover breathtaking panoramas on the snow-covered slopes of the Mercantour National Park, the Monte Cinto in the distance, Cannes and Cap Corse.
Snowshoes are also very popular in the heart of the resort, and in winter and summer, you will find many itineraries to discover. The Planetary Path is certainly the most popular of them: this fun hike to discover the planets and the specificities of astronomy will take you for nearly 10 kilometres to meet the most beautiful corners of the resort. The Sentier du Golf is also very popular, particularly for its 360° view of Mont Mounier, the Saint-Honorat chain and the Mercantour.
Sledding, snowmobiling, but also snow-golf, outdoor yoga, mountain biking, trail, qi gong, quad biking, fishing, horse or pony rides, ice skating, relaxation and massages at the Centre 1700 complete the range of many activities offered in the Valberg resort.
