Castile La Mancha
The landscape of Castile-La-Mancha is diverse and colourful with its flat plains, olive groves and vineyards. The region also has some montainous areas. The capital is Toledo, a unique city that has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its monumental and historical attractions. It is also a spiritual centre for the coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Muslim cultures. As regards the existing gastronomic culture of Castile-La-Mancha, the largest vineyard in the world is found in this region as well as the much appreciated Manchego cheese. With an image of windmills, olive groves and sunflowers, Castile-La-Mancha is a Spanish region that deserves a visit.
