Between Grasse and Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the beautiful department of the Alpes-Maritimes, Le Rouret is only twenty minutes from the beaches of the Mediterranean. In the heart of Provence, between the sea and the mountains, this quiet town is the ideal place to put down your bags for a change of scenery.

Set on green hills dotted with oaks, fragrant olive trees and dense cypresses, the village of Le Rouret is one of those pretty corners of France that one would like to be able to keep secret as they seem to be preserved from the hand of man and tourism. The hillsides of the commune, perfect for a quiet stroll, still bear witness to the agricultural past of Le Rouret, thanks to its ancient dry stone restanques, emblematic of the local heritage. Here, lovers of calm and authenticity will find their happiness! Also, we can only recommend that you take the time to stroll through the heart of the village. If the village was once known for the cultivation of vines and perfumed flowers such as roses, violets and jasmine, oranges and olive trees, it retains from this poetic past splendid gardens and a scent of Provence that tirelessly invites you to stroll. The village of Le Rouret, with its ancient Provençal buildings, has beautiful little flowery squares, wash houses and fountains which bear witness to the picturesque character of the village. Here, the lucky owners of perched villas and old Provencal mas can enjoy magnificent views of the vegetation, the village and the Mediterranean. It is impossible to miss the Saint-Pons church, emblematic of local architecture, with its single nave with flat chevet, its statues, its stained glass windows, its paintings and its side entirely covered with abundant and vivid vegetation. Also worth seeing? The old sheepfold dating from 1854, the Baume Robert cave (for speleology aficionados in particular), as well as the Roman camp and the communal wood on the heights of Rouret. A privileged place for walking, with its truffle oaks, olive trees and almond trees, it is a place that is highly recommended for gentle family excursions. Note also that from the top of the hill, the courageous walkers will be able to enjoy a splendid panorama on the big blue!

Note also that hikers and mountain bikers will be able to take advantage of a whole range of itineraries, sporty or not, perfect for discovering the village and the Grasse area. What to see? Grasse of course, but also Opio, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the marvellous waterfalls of Saut-du-Loup, or even Antibes and the beaches of Cagnes-sur-Mer. Located only twenty minutes from Le Rouret, the beaches of the Mediterranean are a must for your holidays. You can swim, find a terrace where you can have lunch, a table with your feet in the water where you can have dinner together, but you can also opt for water sports sessions under the sun, sunbathing and lazing around...
