It is in the department of Finistère, in Brittany, that the commune of Taulé is located. Just next to Morlaix, in the heart of its wonderful bay, Taulé offers to contemplate a great variety of landscapes and a rich heritage. At the birth of the peninsula of Carantec, between the estuary of Penzé in the west and the river of Morlaix in the east, Taulé reveals an emblematic heritage of the Breton building, with beautiful solid houses made of granite. Along the chapels, the calvaries, the numerous fountains (like the Stivell ar Vuhez fountain in front of the town hall) and the dovecotes which decorate the streets of the village, you will discover the astonishing beauty of the Saint-Pierre church: built in 1902, this neo-Gothic style church impresses by its dimensions as well as for its bell tower similar to the one of the Notre-Dame du Kreisker chapel in Saint-Pol-de-Léon. Still in the inventory of religious buildings, the Saint-Herbot chapel is worth a visit for its architecture as well as for its history, but if there is one site to discover, it is the Château de Lannigou. Huge manor house with pointed towers, mixing resort architecture and defensive architecture, it also includes an imposing fortified square tower and is worth a visit for its unique architecture, a fine example of the dwellings of nobles at the very end of the 19th century.

But if Taulé is worth a look, it is also for its natural heritage. Our advice ? Take the time to walk along the Morlaix River for a country excursion that will lead you unconditionally towards the English Channel along the Locquénolé coast! Whether you are a Sunday walker or a nature lover, Taulé offers you a whole range of walking paths that you can follow throughout the seasons. The "circuit of Penhoat" (8 kilometers) starting from the Mill of Penhoat, the "circuit of Penzé" (9 kilometers) along the quays and the estuary of Penzé, but also the "circuit of the Wood of Lannigou" (7 kilometers), the "circuit of the Lighthouse of the Heath" (9 kilometers) via an itinerary which marks the border between Taulé and Carantec, as well as itineraries through the Valley of Pennelé will give you a beautiful outline of Brittany on the land side. And while walking along the Bay of Morlaix, don't miss a stop at La Palud to discover the viewpoint of the Château du Taureau discovery trail! The Port of Penzé, the Château du Taureau located at sea off Carantec, but also Carantec, its Pointe du Cosmeur and its Tahiti beach known for its turquoise water and its clear sand perfect for sunbathing and swimming are all ideas of sites not to be missed during your vacations in Taulé!
