Circled by immense forest and wooded areas, Six-Fours-les-Plages is located close to La Seyne-sur-Mer and Ollioules. This commune of the Var is very appreciated both by the sportsmen and the followers of the farniente in edge of sea. Six-Fours-the-Beaches is characterized in fact by its multiple faces.
On one hand, its natural spaces are the delight of walkers and climbers. From the gorges of Ollioules to Cape Sicié, it is possible to practice walking, horse riding, mountain biking and climbing in the heart of the 2000 ha of preserved forest. As for the islands, they are also a formidable playground. Embiez Island is nicknamed "the island of flowers" and presents a vast entanglement of wild coves, eroded rocky spurs and shaded groves. This island is the sanctuary of canoe-kayak enthusiasts and stand-up paddle. The islands of the Petit and the Grand Gaou are easier for a family picnic or a game of furious petanque game under the pines.
On the other side, the seafront is dotted with blue-flagged beaches. From the beach of Sablettes to the beach of Cros, passing by the beach of La Verne covered with pebbles, you will inevitably succumb to the charm of these vast expanses of fine sand where reflect the rays of the sun.
In the hottest hours of the day, if you are looking for a bit of freshness, you can take a walk in the streets of downtown Ollioules, just a stone's throw from Six Fours les -Plages. Among the main centers of interest : the heritage house in a small mansion of the 17th century ; the mill of Palisson, which spans the canal of the Arrosants and remained in activity until the beginning of the 20th century; The Saint-Laurent church of primitive Romanesque Provencal style. A getaway that will let you discover the know-how accumulated for generations by local artisans.

Sanary to visit and its markets to do on Sunday morning or other days. The market of Le Brusc is also nice. We leave from Le Brusc for the island of Les Embiez (the island is beautiful). All the surroundings are nice to visit... Saint Mandrier, very good ice creams to be tasted at the bakery of the angle in front of the parking of the port.

I recommend "Le Spaggia" (Italian specialities) which is excellent and very well received. La Maison du Cygne has a vegetable, floral and foreign fruit tree garden, really sublime; in addition, there is a photo exhibition of the philosopher Mathieu Ricard (not open during our stay). The place called Le Brusc has a small church containing classified works of art by the Landowski family (Paul the father won the ROME prize in sculpture).
