Today Umag is best known for its sports: Every year in July, the ATP Croatia Open takes place with many big names from the men's tennis world. Close to the town is the award-winning Istralandia water park - ideal for a day of fun for the whole family. In addition to sporting activities, you should not miss the interior of Istria, known for its excellent gastronomy, and numerous small towns on the hills with a unique view of the Mirna river valley. Cities on the coast such as Pula with its famous Roman amphitheatre, Rovinj with its colorful houses and narrow streets and Pore? with its UNESCO-protected Euphrasian Basilica are also worth a visit!
