Location
The 18th arrondissement lies to the north of Paris and includes the districts of La goutte d'Or and Montmartre. The latter is one of the highest hills in Paris, and the view from the top is well worth the trip. The Sacré-Coeur church, Bastion of the Commune in the 19th century, Montmartre later became the district of many artists, including Picasso, Dali, Duchamp, Toulouse-Lautrec and many others. The 18th arrondissement is thus highly contrasted, integrating ethnic islets with a bourgeois sector or the opposite.
