This magnificent restoration, completed in 2014, was masterfully carried out. It has retained many original features, such as its beams and exposed stones. The main advantage of this superb house is its indoor swimming pool (7 x 3.2), heated all year round at 28°: you can swim in all weathers, and relax on the deckchairs of this large space, or around the table. From the pool, a large sliding door opens onto a private terrace, illuminated at night, particularly pleasant. The living room is equipped with a wood stove and the kitchen with dining area is modern. The lower bedroom is very large, and the two bedrooms on the first floor each have their own bathrooms. In the village, there is a small and popular restaurant, shops 2km away, and several local markets. The main shops are in Fontenay le Comte (10km). Maillezais (4km) is famous for its abbey. You will be in the Marais, and can relax in the river boats for hire on site, cycle or stop at one of the many cafés along the canals. The other must-see attractions are the visits to La Rochelle, a beautiful historic town an hour's drive away, the Vendée coast and its beaches, as well as Les Sables d'Olonne, the main seaside resort.
