Malaspina in Massa is one of the largest castles in Tuscany, a guided tour lasts almost 50 minutes . Massa itself is about 3km from the sea - a sudden there is this kind of mountain in the middle of the city and then the castle next to it and a few houses below . Driveway leads through the old town with narrow streets and stone walls, although you can park next to the house ( even 2 cars) , but it is recommended fr the first time to park on a parking place - (ca. 100 + 200m away from house ) to see first the situation , to be able to decide to make ( or not) appropriate maneuvers.
The house is on a slope with 2 accesses , 3 Garden-Terrace shaped strips are available for the guests . In the garden a "Garden –Bath room " - WC, and shower for a quick shower.
Front terrace: dining table + chairs and bench . Barbecue.
From the terrace you have access to the house - hall and kitchen ( as it was used time ago as a small restaurant, some equipment is professional) living room with TV, sofa and dining table and this wonderful sea view , from here to 5 Terre , Isle del Tino left Gorgona and other. When rain comes an incredible orange fragrance is coming into the room from the garden. It is a wonderful vacation for people who want to enjoy in tranquility with stunning panoramic this part of Italy. You can visit every day the beach - a direct staircase down to the city from here , then by bus , or just with the car. All interesting tours are close - Carrara marble quarries , Pisa , Lucca, Florence and many other.
