Beautiful villa dating back to the 17th century situated in quiet and panoramic location on the Valdarno hills, only 15 km from Florence away. This villa used to be the summer house of the Italian physicist Enrico Fermi (Nobel prize winner in 1938). This property is surrounded by a large park (10000 square meters) and offers a private, above-ground pool.The interiors are nicely furnished with antique pieces.
The property owners live in an portion of the villa with an independent entrance.
The access to the property is via an unpaved road of approx. 500 meters.
Distances: San Donato in Collina with general stores 3 km away, Rignano sull’Arno 4 km, Florence 15 km away, Arezzo 57 km away.
At guests’ disposal: large outdoor furnished areas, above-ground swimming-pool (11 x 5 m - depth 1,4 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09 and until 20:00). The surrounding areas offers an ideal terrain for walks along nice tracks.
Approx. 400 m from the villa away there is a nice fenced-in playground for children.
Extra Services to be paid on site: Baby bed available upon request (€ 15,- / per week). Maid service by arrangement (€ 10,- / per hour). Possibility of tasting the products of the estate. Chef service available by arrangement for nice dinners with local products (truffles and “Chianina” steak). Upon request it is also possible to visit the sheep, livestock and horse farming. Cooking classes can be arranged.
Bikes for rent (4 bikes available at € 8,- / per day / each), quads for rent (price upon request). Laundry service.
