- General description of the campsite:
Camping "Les Grosses Pierres" opens its doors to you in the exceptional setting of the island of Oléron, nicknamed "la lumineuse" because of its high level of sunshine all year round.
Located only 900 m from the beach, in a very green and neat setting, Les Grosses Pierres offers many activities, a large recent aquatic area and a children's pool for the youngest. In 2020, the campsite's aquatic area will be expanded with the creation of 3 slides. Many activities for children/teenagers/adults in July/August from morning to evening 6 days a week.
In summer, the free shuttle bus to the beaches and downtown is a real plus.
Its proximity to Fort-Boyard, the island of Aix, the Chassiron lighthouse and even the Zoo de la Palmyre or La Rochelle makes it an ideal starting point for day trips.
For a bright, iodized, restful and colourful holiday, choose the island of Oleron and of course "Ze", the right place to stay..... The Big Stones!

The bed sizes mentioned are not contractual. It is possible to have slight differences in size depending on the rental models and their vintages. Bed arrangements and decoration may also vary.
- Description of the Aquatic Space:
A 500m² aquatic complex for everyone!
The heated pools provide you with swimming and relaxation for your greatest pleasure.
The indoor swimming pool and its pateaugeoire are accessible all season long from 10am to 8pm.
Breathe in the sea air thanks to the outdoor area offering a large swimming pool with massage benches, spa area, gooseneck, children's pool, 3 brand new water slides, a pentaglisse and an aquasplash play area for children.
Laziness and good mood on the program, for excellent moments of relaxation.
Dates and opening hours of the aquatic area:
Two open spaces from 10am to 8pm:
- Heated indoor swimming pool from 04/04 to 13/09
- Outdoor swimming pool, slides and paddling pool from mid-June to mid-September
NB: Swimming shorts and bermuda shorts are prohibited, swimming underwear is mandatory.
- Animations:
During the spring and summer holidays, 6 days a week, the animation team takes care of everything.
Sports activities for adults and teenagers:
Aquagym, swimming pool games, water polo, sports tournaments, table tennis, family games, petanque tournaments, stretching, step, muscle awakening, cardio training, dance lessons, aqua dance, flash challenges, etc.
Evening entertainment:
Shows, dances or theme evenings, aperitifs, disco, lottoes, foam parties, cabarets, etc.
3 Kids Clubs :
- Club Smarties (From 4 to 7 years old): Decorative arts workshops, make-up, show preparation and rehearsal, mini boom, treasure hunt, sports activities. Open in the morning for spring and summer holidays.
- Junior Club (From 8 to 11 years old): A full day 10h-16h30 : Shows, sports activities, swimming pool games, organized outings. Open for summer holidays.
- Club Teens (From 12 to 17 years old) : Consoles, flash mob, sports tournaments : Laughter guaranteed ! Open only for summer holidays.
Many activities are available on site: indoor playroom (pinball machine, table football, pool table, etc.), children's playground, fitness room - forbidden to children under 16 years old, 2 €/person/30 min), board games available, 2 multi-sport courts, table tennis, mini-golf (2 €/person), petanque, bicycle hire (prices according to availability, model and rental period), ticket office (aquarium, zoo).

Bar area open from 10am to midnight (All season) with free wifi (30 min/day).
Restaurant open from 12pm to 2pm and from 7pm to 9.30pm (All season long).
Supérette available with sale of basic necessities, bread and pastries all season long.
A snack bar is also available throughout the season with takeaway meals, ready meals and pizzas.
Giant screen with retransmission of major events.
Enjoy a wellness area with facial treatments, hand and foot beauty, body treatments and hair removal: by appointment. A hairdresser is also available on Tuesday and Thursday mornings by appointment.
Finally, take a free shuttle bus to the beach (Plage des Bonnes) and city centres (St-Georges-d'Oléron and St-Pierre-d'Oléron), 7 days a week from 9am to 7pm, in July and August.
