This magnificent holiday rental with its beautiful enclosed garden and pleasant pool awaits you in the Aude, only 33km from the superb beaches of Gruissan. Situated near Narbonne, in the Corbières, this superb detached stone house will welcome you in the heart of the Cathar country.
The interiors are spacious and warm, with spectacular exposed beams and a lot of comfort, modern bathrooms and refined decoration, and large living spaces to meet and relax with your family, and the children will enjoy the pool for a bit of coolness.
If you wish, visits to this beautiful region will leave you little time: start with the splendid Abbey of Fontfroide, only 7km away, a sumptuous Cistercian monument dating from the 12th century, nestled in terraced gardens labelled Remarkable Gardens and Bird Sanctuary. Continue with the visit of the marvellous medieval city of Carcassonne, a unique discovery in the world that will leave you with indelible memories, only 1 hour away. But many other medieval villages, castles and abbeys dot the Cathar country. Take time for a stroll on the banks of the Canal du Midi, or prefer a relaxing stay, with magnificent walking trails that leave directly from St André de Roquelongue, such as the Hermitage Trail, which offers a breathtaking view of all the Corbières, and original visits: the honey factory in Montseret, the Boysède mill in Lagrasse. This wine-producing village also allows the practice of hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and will satisfy gourmets, with rich local products such as Corbières wines, honey, goat or sheep cheese.
Please note that there might be some noise in the room closest to the cellar, between 15/09 and 10/10, due to the cold room engine. But you will be privileged: the owner, passionate about oenology, offers you a wine tasting on the estate!
