Typical stone villa dating back to the 15th century, transformed into a welcoming vacation home with a surface area of 400 m2, capable of comfortably accommodating 10 people, with a large garden, swimming pool for exclusive use and loggia equipped for lunches. The villa has 5 double bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, and is equipped with Wifi internet connection, satellite TV, sauna and cot. It is particularly suitable for groups of friends, large families or events.
Outdoor areas and swimming pool
Villa Tagliafune is part of a 3-hectare property, fully fenced in, with olive trees and a large lawn area. The villa's garden, for the exclusive use of guests, is divided into several areas: the space in front of the entrance is characterized by a large, well-kept lawn and a stone-paved area from which access is gained to the loggia and the residence. The loggia, equipped with a table and chairs for alfresco dining, and the paved area with table and parasols, framed by elegant terracotta jars, allow you to enjoy the splendid panorama and spend pleasant moments relaxing. On the lawn, about 20 meters from the house, you'll find the swimming pool reserved for guests, measuring 17x7 and with a depth varying from 1 to 3 meters, surrounded by a paved surface in Tuscan terracotta and equipped with sunbeds and a shower. Nearby, an arbour of climbing roses, armchairs and a table create a delightful spot for conversation and reading. Parking for several cars.
Interiors
The refined, tastefully furnished interiors boast wood-beamed ceilings, arches and numerous windows that let in plenty of natural light. The villa is laid out on two levels. From the external loggia on the first floor, access is gained to the spacious living room featuring large arches, sofas, satellite TV and DVD player. The living room leads to the dining/living room with armchairs and fireplace. A separate room houses the well-equipped country-style kitchen. A small study, 1 bathroom with shower and double washbasin, and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer complete the first floor. An ancient stone staircase leads to the second floor with 1 bright double bedroom with panoramic views of the countryside and pool, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, 1 bathroom with shower and vestibule, small hallway, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom with bath/shower and sauna for 2 people, 1 bathroom with shower.
Location
This classic country house, once owned by the Medici family and now transformed into an elegant vacation home, lies at the end of a small valley in the middle of the Chianti hills. The backdrop is the countryside, mostly vineyards and olive groves. The position is tranquil, with views over the countryside dotted with dwellings and farmhouses.

Important information
The swimming pool is open from 25/4 to 30/9. The owner lives on the same property but is completely independent. Access via 900 meters of dirt road not suitable for low cars.
Activities and distances
Apart from enjoying a refreshing dip in the pool, there's plenty to do. The center of San Casciano is a 10-minute drive away, with all services, restaurants and banks. The Florence-Siena expressway is just outside San Casciano, and from here you can reach all the major centers in this part of Tuscany. Florence and all its attractions can be reached in 30 minutes. A 40-minute drive will take you to Siena, with its Piazza del Campo, home of the annual Palio and a veritable open-air fair. Finally, there are many small Chianti towns in the vicinity, including Greve, Radda and Castellina in Chianti. A day trip to the coastal towns of Versilia or the Pisan coast is not to be missed.
