The campsite
The beautiful coastline of the Vendée forms the backdrop to the wonderful location of camping Les Almadies, a medium sized campsite located close to the seaside town of La Tranche-sur-Mer. The lovely sandy beaches, which are created by the refreshing waters of the Atlantic Ocean, are the ideal place for a beach holiday in the Vendée.
An indoor pool complex features a heated swimming pool, several slides, a children's area and a jacuzzi. The outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers and complemented by a children's pool.
Children on holiday can gather on the playground and swing happily on the swings or slides. If they have not yet made friends on the playground or in the playroom, they are sure to find some at the children's club. The enthusiastic campsite staff offer a full programme of activities including competitions, tournaments and sports for children aged 4 to 12.
Kilometres of sandy beaches line the Vendée coastline and La Tranche-sur-Mer has some of the most beautiful. Head to the coast to relax on the beach or try some exhilarating water sports such as kite surfing, paddle boarding or windsurfing.
Driving south down the coast, you will arrive in La Rochelle in 1 hour. Here you can easily spend a day visiting sights such as the Aquarium, the Lantern Tower, the Port des Minimes and the Parc Charruyer. This lively city is also the gateway to the Ile de Ré, where you will discover the beautiful beach of Gros Joncs and the lighthouse of Les Baleines.
