Would you like to sleep on a wine estate and taste famous wines? This beautiful, detached holiday home in Ferrals-les-Corbières (500 m) is ideal for wine lovers. How about a delicious Cabanon Blanc? This surprising white wine with light, flowery aroma and modest bitterness has a full, fruity, round taste.
Perfect as an appetizer on your secluded private terrace with barbecue on the south side of your holiday home. Here you'll enjoy privacy and you are literally surrounded by the vineyards of this estate. If the delicious wines start to make you feel sleepy you can jump in the shared swimming pool (13 x 9 m, 0.60 - 1.80 m in depth) with lovely outdoor kitchen, in front of the holiday home. There are two other holiday homes on the estate, and for real wine lovers there are countless possibilities for excursions on and around this wine estate. There are expeditions and walking trails through the vineyards, organized picnics among the nature, and wine tastings of course!
Of course there is also plenty to do in the area. You find yourself in the land of Catharism, between the mountains and the sea, and halfway between the Roman city of Narbonne (30 km) and the very special fortified city of Carcassonne (38 km). You'll find beautiful abbeys in Fontfroide (28) and in Largesse (13 km). The 8th century abbey Sainte-Marie in Lagrasse is one of the oldest of the Languedoc, and was founded by Charlemagne. You can go by foot to the wine grower's village of Ferrals-les-Corbières for your daily shopping or to enjoy a café-au-lait with the newspaper in the village cafe. A beautiful, well-maintained holiday home with lovely, shady terrace. Here you can really enjoy your holiday with a good book and that delicious wine. At the end of the afternoon you can light the barbecue to round off your day with a dinner made of regional delicacies.
The house is lovingly decorated and very complete. You'll feel right at home here! Living room with seating area and TV. open kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and fridge/freezer. Separate toilet. Bedroom 1: a wide double bed (1.60 m). Bathroom with shower. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. Washing machine.
