Come and discover the basin of Arcachon by putting down your suitcases in ARES small authentic village located at the beginning of the peninsula of CAP FERRET.
Mobil home 4/6 places (29m2) air-conditioned with terrace entirely covered, very pleasant, not overlooked. (Rental limited to 4 people for more comfort) at the 3 star campsite "les Goélands".
Parking space on the private plot of the mobile home. Shady pitch.
Distances: 500 metres from the lake of St Brice and the basin (without crossing a street), 11 km from the Atlantic coast: Grand Crohot beach. Centre Andernos approx. 3 km. Arès is very well situated to discover the basin by bike (cycle track at 100 m) or by car (Cap Ferret : 25Km, Arcachon 50km, Bordeaux : 45 kms).
Shops nearby including large markets in Andernos and Arés.

Beware of the many steep switchbacks at the campsite, some of which are at an angle and not signposted. In cold weather, bring an auxiliary heater, as the one in the mobile home is insufficient to heat it when night-time temperatures drop below 16°C. Knowing that pipes, hoses and drains (under sinks and toilets) are not sealed and let air and bugs (mosquitoes, spiders, etc...) through.

Very good, but we're reluctant to come back because of the mosquitoes. It's a pity, but what can you do but stock up on mosquito repellent unless the campsite takes care of it, especially citronella candles to enjoy the terrace.
