The Baltic coast of Mecklenburg is a very popular destination at any time of the year. It is only a few minutes by car to the fine sandy beaches of the Baltic resorts of Kühlungsborn and Heiligendamm. The Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Rostock/Warnemünde can be reached in about 40 minutes by car. It is about 8 km to the Doberan Minster.
