Rouen and the Seine valley are 35 minutes from the gîte. Nearby GR21, voted France's favorite hiking trail, passes through Dieppe town center to join the coastal paths.

Your host:
The origins of this building date back to the French Revolution. Called a barn, it was part of a small farm acquired by a great-grandfather in 1882. It is set in a "clos masure", surrounded by hedges and planted embankments.
Over time, Elisabeth and I Michel, now retired, became the owners. But what to do with a building worn down by time, in which our ancestors had stacked sheaves of wheat for decades, and where a threshing machine had been installed in place of today's kitchen?
After a great deal of research, we set about restoring it, and then, one thing leading to another, transforming it into a house intended, in partnership with the Seine-Maritime gîtes, as a gîte rural. For almost 30 years, we've been sharing our time with guests from all over the world.
Our accommodation, which has been in operation since 1992, is located in the countryside in a hamlet adjoining an orchard planted with fruit trees where ewes and lambs graze, close to the main highways and near the beaches of Puys, Dieppe and Pourville, where you can go fishing at low tide. The "véloroute du Lin", the "Avenue Verte" and other paths allow you to cycle or walk through fields and meadows. All rooms are fully equipped and spacious. The restoration respects Norman architecture: brick, flint, terracotta cobblestones, torchisentre and half-timbering are all old, local materials. Depending on how our guests feel, we encourage them to discover our heritage and gastronomy, with farmhouse cream and butter, cider, fish and shellfish, not forgetting meat and poultry. We strive to meet our guests' expectations in terms of museums, sights, restaurants and, of course, the amazing cliffs of the Côte d'Albâtre. We hope to see you soon!
