Greece has had the wind in its sails in recent years, and everyone dreams of finding the last corner that escapes scam islands, numbered beaches and the squeaky welcome of a false "My frrriend!" in a butchered polyglot accent. This year, the subtle, well-informed holidaymaker heads for the deep south of the Peloponnese, whose three long fingers are akin to island paradises, without the influx of timed charters that skim the rooftops as much as the summer guests... dozing on the beach. Ours are deserted in July, yet the sand is fine and white. But why? Because they're unknown, hidden away at the end of a single road that winds along a peninsula that leads to nothing but your happiness. Few hotels, no traffic jams, little yayas that open the lid of the evening cooking pot, T-shirt contests that you're bound to win, white ouzo under the ballet of diaphanous cicadas from our thousand-year-old meditation tree, but also our 50m² swimming pool with crystal-clear, warm water at 30°C all year round under a retractable south-facing shelter. Small, slow convertible all-terrain vehicles and cultural excursions with French commentary at the microphone, from Crusader castles to the thousand-year-old ruins of Athens' ancient rival, via the listed splendors of the ancient capital of the Byzantine Empire. All enlivened by the gastronomic table of a fisherman friend or the flavours of the high forest of a gourmet table often opened just for us (and you). All at prices that "still existed?" Because an old tourism journalist awaits you here in his three gîtes, less venal than proud to share with you his discovery of one of the last lost paradises (rediscovered) where he has been living his last exile for thirty years already. An idyllic panorama of the Ionian Sea and its islands beyond a forest of olive trees that will undulate with serenity throughout your stay, in a family-run, artisanal olive grove at the foot of a protective mountain cirque.
