This holiday apartment in the village of Santa Maria di Castellabate has a beautiful terrace with a magnificent view of the sea and the Punta Licosa natural park. The pretty village of Santa Maria di Castellabate is full of spacious, free and well-equipped sandy beaches, beautiful seaside walks, coffee bars, and excellent restaurants where you can taste various specialities and excellent wines from the region. Don't miss the old hamlet of Castellabate (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), nestled 280 m above the sea, which overlooks the bay of Santa Maria di Castellabate (5 km away). This medieval mountain village was mentioned in the first letter of 1123 and is still today a labyrinth of old houses, romantic alleys, stairs, small squares with breathtaking views. You will also find trattorias and small bars. The "Piazzetta" or village square is the favourite place of the village inhabitants but also of many holidaymakers. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding hills and enjoy the sunset over the sea from the San Costabile Belvedere. The region of Cilento in Campania, in southern Italy, between Paestum in the north, Sapri in the south and the Val di Diano in the east, includes about 100 km of coastline and mountains, as well as medieval villages. For culture lovers, we recommend visiting the majestic site of the Paestum temple (25 km away); the large stairs with their "scaloni" and the imposing 16th century town gate that leads to the old town of the village of Agropoli from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire coast from the fortifications of the old town centre.
