Apartment on the 1st floor of an early 20th-century house on a hill. Guests have at their disposal, near the outside staircase leading to the apartment, a room on the first floor with a billiard table, a landscaped courtyard and an adjoining meadow with swimming pool (shared with the owner). Private, landscaped outdoor area. Opportunities for walks in the surrounding countryside. The property is 500 m from the historic center of Siena. This medieval city has become world famous thanks to the Palio, a medieval horse race held every year in early July and mid-August in the magnificent Piazza del Campo. It offers its visitors a wealth of historical and cultural monuments, chic boutiques and excellent restaurants or trattorias where you can sample Sienese or Tuscan specialties and excellent wines. In the historic center of this charming city, divided into 17 districts (contrades), time seems to have stood still: as you stroll through the city, you'll learn a great deal about Siena's history, and you'll be surprised to find that centuries-old alliances and rivalries between the various contrades continue to this day. Don't miss a visit to the Gothic cathedral and the "Facciatone" next door, the facade of the second cathedral project, whose construction was interrupted during the plague of 1348 and has never been resumed since. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and surrounding countryside. The imposing basilicas of San Domenico and San Francesco are also interesting from an art-historical point of view, and are a must for all pilgrims. Baby cots can be rented on request (payment on site). S1 is a studio with a single bed. Password-protected WLAN available on request.
