THE RESIDENCE
Classified as a Historic Monument and labelled as a "20th century heritage", the tourist residence "Les Carrats" offers an idyllic setting thanks to its location on the beach and its 16 kilometres of fine sand.
This residence, dedicated to pedestrians and bicycles, has been renovated in respect of its original architecture and extends over 5 hectares between the lake of Leucate and the Mediterranean.
During your stay, you will be able to use the residence's heated swimming pools, whirlpool, sauna and gym for free. A wide range of services can also be accessed from the residence, along the beach.
Leucate is located at the southern entrance of the Regional Natural Park of the Narbonne and at the northern entrance of the National Marine Park of the Gulf of Lion and offers authentic natural landscapes.
YOUR ACCOMMODATION
All air-conditioned houses have a kitchenette equipped with a microwave oven, hotplates, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker.
House T4/8 (63 m² approx.) : Living room with sofa bed sleeping 2, 1 bedroom with double bed, 2 bedrooms with two single beds or bunk beds. WC, bathroom with bath or shower.

A very good general impression whereas we left with an apprehension in view of the reviews of the residence on the internet. Obviously it was the very end of the season so we felt a slight slackening probably on the general maintenance of the residence (building adjoining the leisure area swimming pool sports room and other open but the corridors seemed disused therefore dirty and not very engaging) but concerning the accommodation a real nice surprise. Large (we were 3 adults and 4 children), modern and functional. The location with direct access to the beach is clearly great. On the other hand, you need to have a car or to like walking because the nearest micro shopping center (SPAR) was closed and you had to go to the LIDL at 5 min by car. Friendly reception team. On the other hand, it's a pity that the arrivals can't be done before 5 pm because on a short stay like ours it's a bit of time lost since we were encumbered with our luggage and therefore stuck to do the shopping and get rid of the arrival chores... Concerning the aquatic area and leisure activities, there was little supervision and the safety instructions were not really followed. Passage between the indoor and outdoor pools via the common room with wet feet, so risk of slipping for all. Perhaps think of an alternative route for bathers...

Very pleasant stay in a very beautiful residence classified. On the other hand it was difficult to obtain information on the rental. For example: the advert mentions a house for 4 people and we were accommodated in an apartment on the 2nd floor. It was also impossible to know if we had a terrace in our rental. Finally we had 2! Regarding the apartment, coat racks, towel racks and tea towel hooks would be welcome.

When I made my rental request it was notified that we would have an exterior (balcony and garden table notified in the ad) ... but on our arrival we had an apartment without exterior with a common courtyard: no toncarville or garden table (at least to take advantage of the common exterior and knowing that the other tenants had it): : 3 days of excessive requests to the reception to have a table and a clothesline because no disposal .... More than mixed reception, no atmosphere in the holiday village ... apartment moderately clean on arrival ... When you wait for the summer holidays all year round, it's a big disappointment compared to what is sold on paper .... I would not use Locasun for my holidays anymore
