If you're a nature lover, you'll love strolling down to the river and picking chestnuts and hazelnuts.
Are you a fisherman? Take advantage of this area just for you. The Colmont, a 1st category river, fishes with hand-cranked minnows and natural baits, fly-fishing... a width of 5 to 10 meters with a fast current. (No-kill fly course on Oisseau).
For the whole family, there's a large playground with a swing and rope swing for outdoor games.
You can also take advantage of the Haie Traversaine leisure park 3 km away (free supervised swimming, inflatable structures, paddle, canoe...), the Vaux park in Ambrieres les Vallées 7 km away with its municipal swimming pool, fishing, horse-riding open all year round, canoeing in summer, tennis and 18-hole mini golf course from April to October.
The region's rich heritage includes the castles of Sainte Suzanne, Lassay les Châteaux and Mayenne. Discover the seaside resort of Bagnoles de l'Orne (35km).
The gîte is a detached 19th-century house in a hamlet, with 3000m² of enclosed grounds. The first floor features a 60m² living room with fully-equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms, 4 beds and a bathroom - 2 separate wc.
The living room can accommodate up to 20 guests (crockery, table and chairs available).
All shops in Oisseau (3.6 km) and Ambrières les Vallées (7km).
Professional stay: the 3 bedrooms and 4 beds can accommodate a maximum of 4 people. Household linen and towels required. Stay 1 to 14 nights: 1 cleaning option and 1 bed linen option.
Possibility of a camper van or tent (5€/pers/night). On request from the reservations department.

Your accommodation comprises, on the first floor: a 60m² living room with a fitted kitchen (equipment: fridge, freezer, 3-burner gas hob and 1 electric hob, traditional electric oven + mini oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, toaster, kettle, blender, crockery for 20 people), lounge area with fireplace - Laundry / fishing room 6m² with fridge, sink, washing machine - separate WC. Upstairs, 3 bedrooms: 1chb 10m² Violette with 1 bed 140*190 - 1chb 12.6m² Verte with 1 bed 140*190 + 1 bed 90*200 - 1 chb 7m² with a bed 120*190 - Bathroom - Separate WC.
Internet via wifi.
Very large lawn with children's swing. Semi-enclosed plot as a passage has been made to access the path leading to the river 150m below, at the rear of the house. Access to the woods along the Colmont, a fishing river, with federal fishing card.
Electric heating + insert fireplace with heat sending system upstairs.
For babies: cot, bath, high chair, walker. Please call ahead to prepare equipment.
Raclette machine.
Option: 70€ cleaning - 10€ sheets/bed - 5€ bathroom linen/pers - 55€ per stere of wood from the consumption of one stere - Electricity > 8kWh/day to be paid to the owner at the end of the stay, on meter reading, current EDF rate - If animal accepted: 5€/night/pet - If additional person in tent or camper 5€/pers/night - If use of the room to accommodate family 50€/day for 20 pers max.
Included: Bed linen for 1/2-night stays only.
Pets possible on prior request to reservation service. Respect of the Gîtes de France animal welcome charter - To be requested. Rooms and bathrooms are only accessible by stairs.

Coming from Mayenne on the D23, at La Haie-Traversaine, turn left at the entrance to the village (Rue de la Colmont). The road crosses the housing estate. Exit to the left. Take the 1st road on the right (Route de la Teurerie). Continue for 3 km and turn right at "La Haute Fumière". Gîte La Haute Fumière is at the end of the small road, at number 175.
