The La Raspa Sea Views apartment is located in Arrecife, the capital of the island of [hidden].The La Raspa apartment is situated on the Charco de San Ginés lake, in a privileged seafront location, next to Lanzarote's new marina, stores, cinemas, banks, shopping centers and the historic center. You'll also find numerous bars and restaurants, including the best tapas and local wine bar: Tasca La Raspa. The location is unbeatable, being in the middle of the island and able to reach the north and south and its magnificent beaches in just 20 minutes. Only 10 km from the airport and free parking nearby. La Raspa apartment, modern and functional, 52 m2, comfortable and very bright and spacious with a breathtaking view. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, a bathroom with a large bathtub and laundry facilities, a large living room with a fully-equipped kitchenette and a terrace with stunning views.
Arrecife, the island's capital since the second half of the 19th century, is the administrative and commercial center where over half the population lives. A pronounced seafaring character is combined with the appearance of the well-fortified fortress and its current function as a service town dedicated to commercial relations. Founded on the basis of the expansion of foreign trade (via the port with the largest facilities and the exchange of products such as salt, onions and fish) from the famous Muelle de la Cebolla, now known as Puerto Chico or Muelle Chico, it grew from a group of small warehouses for loading and unloading goods near the port to the main heart of the island in just under two centuries. It takes its name from the accumulation of reefs (Arrecife), islets and small volcanic rocks that lie offshore and make access and landing difficult. Charco de San Ginés Inside the town, the maritime status is clearly reflected in the streets and old town, in the transit and handling of goods from other ports and in the avowed devotion to their admirable patron saint, Saint Ginés. We also see the curious rock formations formed by lava mantles in their search for an encounter with the sea. The city's marked development is also noteworthy, as it has gradually been transformed into a center of urban services, characteristics that define the capital's identity. The city is home to shopping centers, numerous specialty stores, gift boutiques and a number of small boutiques selling their own and original products with attentive customer service; so it's easy to find an extensive range and variety of products, whether from local artisans or imported from unlikely international markets, as the special status of the islands means that imported products from anywhere in the world can be purchased at the sharpest prices. Bandstand on the promenade In addition to its role as a commercial tourist center, Arrecife is also interesting for its coastline, with a multitude of islets and reefs formed by lava flows along the coast, alternating with defensive castles built to protect against privateers - such as the Castillo de San José, now transformed into the International Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Castillo de San Gabriel, linked to the capital by the Puente las Bolas bridge. Finally, one of the most visited tourist attractions is the Charco de San Ginés, a kind of lake formed by the inflow of sea water and surrounded by small fishermen's cottages, next to which was built the former hermitage of San Ginés, now the church of San Ginés.
