In the heart of the Anjou region, 10 minutes from Saumur, you're very welcome at this gîte in Saint Martin de la Place, located 500 meters from the Loire. This village is an ideal base for exploring the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Natura 2000 site, on foot, by bike (including the Loire à vélo route), by canoe, on horseback and, why not, in a hot-air balloon!
The surrounding area offers a wide choice of places to visit during your stay: Châteaux of Saumur (11 km), Brézé (25 km) and Angers (40 km), Cadre Noir (11 km), Abbaye Royale de Fontevraud (25 km), Terra Botanica (40 km), churches with twisted steeples (especially in the Baugeois region), museums, forest walks, Saumur and Anjou vineyards, troglodyte sites, Doué-en-Anjou Biopark 28 km away... Enough to fill your program of activities!
Edith and Michel will be delighted to welcome you in the old barn of the family tufa farm. A bouquet of flowers and 1 bottle of Saumur Champigny are offered on arrival!
The gîte on the banks of the Loire comprises, on the ground floor :
