Taking advantage of a privileged location in the heart of the Grasse valley, Mouans-Sartoux is close enough to the magnificent beaches of the Mediterranean to enjoy their pleasures, and far enough from them to escape the crowds that take the coastline by storm every summer. A pleasant village, Mouans-Sartoux invites you to stroll along its beautiful flowered alleys, lined with pretty colourful houses. From square to square, from fountains to churches, in the shade of its plane trees, the town looks like a quiet little paradise where it is good to rest. During your visit, you will discover its Grand-Pré square, which was once used as a drying and threshing area, as well as the Château de Mouans: built in the 16th century, this castle, recognizable by its three round towers, now houses the Espace de l'Art Concret, a site where you can admire many contemporary art exhibitions. If this art form is not to your liking, we still advise you to visit the castle and its splendid gardens, for a real bubble of freshness during the summer heat. Very cultural, Mouans-Sartoux will fascinate readers and writers at heart: this is why it organizes its own annual Book Festival in the autumn, and has done so since 1988. The Tour de Laure, the Moulin des Canebiers, but also the Bastide du Parfumeur, the Saint-André church, the Chapelle des Pénitents and the stables of the castle are also to be added to your list of visits not to be missed during your stay in Mouans-Sartoux.

The place is particularly suitable for bucolic walks, in the wooded hills of the Moorish woods, on the side of the Castellaras (and its neomedieval cloister), through the olive groves, flower fields and vineyards that line the surroundings of the city. For a little freshness, nothing beats a walk along the banks of the Mourachonne or at the Source de la Foux! Hiking enthusiasts (hikers, equestrians or cyclists) will not fail to visit neighbouring municipalities, such as Valbonne, Pégomas, Mougins, Grasse and La Roquette-sur-Siagne.

Finally, how can we not mention the beaches of the Mediterranean? Located a dozen kilometres away, the beaches of Cannes, Mandelieu-la-Napoule, Juan-les-Pins and Antibes will offer you a wide choice of excursions and water sports. Wakeboard between the pontoons of the Croisette in Cannes, surfing and paddle on the "Sud Aviation" beach of Mandelieu-la-Napoule, family swimming on the beach of Ponteil in Antibes, but also jet-ski, kitesurfing, windsurfing, flyboard and towed buoys will delight sliding fans.
