Restaurant "Le thé de la reine" (remember to reserve), Carros village, medieval village, 12th century castle. Restaurant "Les Selves" (excellent cuisine, very welcoming). We were also recommended'La crêperie du moment', but the restaurant was full.

The castle to do with a panoramic view of the city and the English promenade and the old town of Nice with its narrow streets. As for the pebble beach, everyone has their own thing, you have to love it. Also, Monaco nearby by train or car is as you wish (5 euros A. R. approximately according to the hours per person by train). For those who love small villages in the hinterland, there is Peillon, Saint Paul de Vence, Gourdon or Tourette sur Loup. Nice is a small Paris with the sea (very good and the sun in addition).

Ready to walk the asphalt for the Alpes-Maritimes Marathon? On Sunday, November 3rd, one of the greatest French marathons will take place between Nice and Cannes, renowned for its magnificent course between the sea and palm trees. Once again this year, more than 13,000 riders from 60 different nations are expected on the start line of the Promenade des Anglais, for 42,195 kilometres of challenge under the sun. The arrival? It will take place on Boulevard de la Croisette, just like that! Count 80€ per registration.

On November 3rd, running enthusiasts are expected to start from the Promenade des Anglais for the Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes. As part of the "J'me Bouge" operation and in order to prepare you to face the 42,195 kilometres of this course, former world karate champion Christophe Pinna (also sports coach at the Star Academy) is organizing two training sessions on September 15 and October 13, from 9am to 11am. The first major event of the summer, the Fête de la Musique opens the summer season with great pomp and circumstance. On June 14, Nice welcomes the departure of the Ultra-Trail Côte d'Azur-Mercantour. This race between sea and mountains offers its courageous participants a 100% sporting route with incomparable panoramic views of the Côte d'Azur. A huge open-air playground, this UItra-Trail will be divided into several races according to level: 15, 40, 110 or 150 kilometres, 150 kilometres in relay as well as a "vertical" race with steep slopes. Top start of the 2019 Women's Football World Cup! From June 7 to July 7, Les Bleues will be looking to win the world title to put their very first star on their jerseys. Until 6 October at the Musée départemental des Arts Asiatiques, the exhibition "L'Asie rêvée d'Yves Saint-Laurent" is being held. Nice celebrates this year the 100th anniversary of La Victorine, the mythical studios in Nice that have historically hosted the filming of "La Main au Collet" or "Les Enfants du Paradis". On this occasion, the city is organising numerous events until 15 January 2020 around the world of culture and cinema. A festival of short films shot on the phone on 13 and 14 September, concerts and masterclasses from 27 to 29 September, theatre performances, exhibitions at the Matisse Museum, the Chagall Museum and the Museum of Photography... A rich programme that will appeal to a wide audience!

100 years since the famous Yellow Jersey made young and old alike dream of cycling. To mark its centenary, the city of Nice is organising an exhibition until 29 September to showcase the most coveted jersey of the Tour de France. Considered one of the most beautiful carnivals in the world, the Nice Carnival is back in service from 16 February to 2 March 2019. On the agenda? Carnival parades, illuminated corsets, giant parades animated by day and night, and flower battles during a demonstration led by 20 beautifully decorated floats.

From December 20 to 22, musical performances will be held in Nice around the world of celebrations. You will be able to watch Piotr Illitch Tchaikovsky's interpretation of "The Nutcracker, Orchestra Suite", as well as Sergei Prokofiev's famous "Peter and the Wolf" played by the teachers and students of the Conservatoire de Nice. On December 21 will be held the much awaited concert in tribute to Charles Aznavour, during which singers and musicians will reinterpret the singer's greatest classics.
