Situated in the heart of the Southern Alps, the peaceful resort of Pra-Loup extends over the Ubaye valley and is linked to the town of Uvernet-Fours. This tourist site is halfway between a modern resort and a typical Alpine village. In the past, pastoralism was the predominant economic activity of the commune. Its authentic charm, its peacefulness... Pra-Loup has all its attractions from its quiet past. Nowadays, it is mainly its imposing skiing area and quality descents that attract visitors.

There are two ski resorts in the Pra-Loup ski area. Pra-Loup 1500, also known as the Molanès, is the family resort par excellence : tranquility and conviviality are the keywords. In Pra-Loup 1600, the atmosphere is more festive : it is here that we find a lot of shops and après-ski activities. Each of the two resorts provides access to a high-quality ski area. Pra-Loup includes 75 kilometers of slopes of a wide variety that delight all ski lovers. There is also a snowpark with two different lines, two boardercross and a kid rider reserved for children under 12 years old. The paradise for the followers of new slides ! Pra-Loup also joined forces with the neighboring station of La Foux D'Allos in order to create an immense linked domain : Espace Lumière. 180 kilometers of slopes, two snowparks, three toboggan runs, three kindergartens... figures that give envy !

Winter activities do not stop at skiing in Pra-Loup. This municipality located in full nature is the ideal place to go on hike in snowshoes. Whether you are alone or with a mountain guide, you can take a walk along the marked trails where you can discover the richness of Alpine flora and fauna. The magnificent vistas of the Ubaye valley await you ! To enjoy the joys of skiing off the slopes, go to the ice rink. Whatever your level : come and wander on this outdoor skating rink for great moments with friends or family !

Pra-Loup is also the perfect resort to discover the new unusual slides. And no need to be an outstanding skier to try them out ! You can rent your snowscoot at the resort. As the name suggests, it is a kind of small snow scooter. Very easy to master, it is within the reach of all and allows to go down the tracks safely. But the best way to share moments of sliding still remains the snakegliss. This small "train" composed of several sledges attached in single file allows to descend the slopes all together, led by a leader guide. And it can hold up to ten people !

During the summer, Pra-Loup remains equally sporty and entertaining. From the first rays of the sun, nature is reborn and revealed in a new light. The resort is part of the Mercantour National Park, which includes an impressive number of plant and animal species. Want to discover a unique sport in a splendid setting ? Go to the Golf du Bois Chenu. Located between Barcelonnette and Pra-Loup, its 9-hole course evolves amidst verdant glades lined with trees and sparkling bodies of water.

Various restaurants with beautiful terraces at lunchtime, ice rink, cinema in the evening at Pra Loup 1600 (free shuttle between the 1500 and 1600 stations).

The resort is superb, very good reception of the restaurants on the slopes and the shopkeepers (especially the butcher's and caterer's).
