A new Eden for holidaymakers looking for the fresh air and dreamy panoramas, Brittany is attracting more and more tourists every year. Boating enthusiasts, lovers of preserved landscapes and Breton culture? Heading for Étables-sur-Mer, in the Côtes-d'Armor region.

Now attached to Binic to form a single commune ("Binic-Étables-sur-Mer"), Étables-sur-Mer is one of those little corners of paradise that only Brittany seems jealously to keep secret. Wedged between Pordic and Saint-Quay-Portrieux, this charming seaside resort lives to the rhythm of the tides in the heart of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, the 5th largest bay in the world and a member of the "Club des Plus Belles Baies d'Europe". A family residence par excellence, Étables-sur-Mer is a tireless invitation to stroll along its alleys and quays. The port of Binic-Étables-sur-Mer is really worth a visit: once the first major French deep-sea fishing port in Newfoundland (cod and shell fishing), it is now one of the most important marinas in the Côtes-d'Armor. Take time to have a drink before strolling on the Penthièvre pier at sunset: during this stroll you can admire the magnificent 18th century shipowners' houses on Quai Jean Bart, the 18 Belle Époque villas facing the sea in the Godelins district, before discovering the piracy of the marine cemetery on the Binic side.

Étables-sur-Mer is also the ideal place to start hiking. Brittany, true to its reputation, has a vast network of marked trails to allow you to discover it from start to finish, and Étables-sur-Mer is no exception to the rule by providing you with a whole host of trails adapted to all levels of practice. Through the natural space of the Bernese, you will discover all the magnificence of the bay of Saint-Brieuc, as well as many remains of the Gallo-Roman period such as towers (the Tower of Caesar) and a stone wall. Then take the Pourrhis Viaduct for superb excursions in the Ponto Valley, on foot, on horseback or by bike. The GR34, famous throughout Brittany, will allow you to see some of the most beautiful panoramas that Étables-sur-Mer has to offer on its coastline bordered by turquoise water. Do you like it when it moves? Take the health trail, the cycle routes (the Vélomaritime EV4, the 13 signposted circuits of the resort...), try the adventure of an equestrian ride by the sea, do a run in the early morning on the "Sentier des Douaniers", and don't forget to... throw yourself into the water !
