Between Lannion and Perros-Guirec, in the heart of the magnificent Pink Granite Coast, Louannec is one of those exceptional destinations of which Brittany seems to have the secret. Authentic and ideally located to discover the splendours of the Côtes-d'Armor, Louannec is the perfect place to settle down for a relaxing holiday.
A real breath of fresh air in the heart of the Côtes-d'Armor coast, Louannec is the ideal place to stay if you like peace and quiet. Louannec is a little bit like the countryside in the city, the seaside without the world and the fuss of big seaside cities, far from the big tourist destinations of Brittany. It is more like a small fishing village than a large tourist resort, and yet Louannec is definitely the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in Brittany. Although it does not strictly speaking have a very large heritage, this charming village still has some very beautiful monuments such as the dovecote of Brittany, or the splendid Manoir de Brarc'h, a defensive building built during the 15th century.
Louannec's major asset is its coastline. The town is crossed by the GR34 in the image of all Brittany, as well as by small coastal paths that will allow you to visit its coastline from side to side. Stroll along the Lenn basin and the Kerduel stream, go photograph the beautiful Nantouar Lighthouse from its pebble beach (beware, these large pebbles are difficult to use), and swim in the clear waters that border its beaches. Le Lenn beach, Renan beach, Nantouar beach and Pen an Hen Nevez beach will be perfect for bubbling under the sun.
Louannec's second strong point: its location. Located in the heart of the Pink Granite Coast, this small town will allow you to reach the beaches of the most beautiful seaside resorts on the coast in just a few minutes, on foot or by bike. Perros-Guirec is located just west of Louannec: an emblematic destination in the Côtes-d'Armor region, this town has many charming assets, both thanks to its rich built heritage and its natural treasures. Take time to stroll along the quays of its harbour, walk near Pointe du Sphinx, surf or paddle on the Trestraou beach side, and land on Trestignel beach to watch the sunset. Finally, if there is a site to see on the coast, it is certainly the Ploumanac'h lighthouse: built in pink granite, it is the perfect postcard for your holidays in Brittany.
Restaurants "Le Bornéo" in Lannion (7 Rue de Viarmes), "Le Mao" in Perros-Guirec (147 Rue Saint-Guirec), "Le puffin" in Pleumeur-Bodou (21 rue des plages, peninsula of Landrellec) and "Chez Edouard" in 22700 Perros-Guirec (19 Boulevard Joseph le Bihan, plage du Trestraou).
