An elegant village in Upper Corsica, Belgodère is located in the heart of Balagne, between Saint-Florent and Calvi. Perched in the mountains of the hinterland of Île Rousse, Belgodère is a picturesque balcony village. Rich in history dating back to the Middle Ages, this waterfront tourist destination offers its lucky visitors the opportunity to discover some of the most sumptuous panoramas of the Isle of Beauty.

Before rushing to its immense beach of fine sand, the old town of Belgodère deserves to be explored. First of all, you should visit Malaspina Castle: built in 1892 on the side of the A Costa hill, it is remarkable for its beautiful garden composed of an orchard, a caretaker's house, a terrace and a chapel made of white Carrara marble. Dominating the village, the remains of the E Teghje Tower are the current imprint of the development of the municipality of Belgodère in the Middle Ages. The site is worth a visit, if only for the breathtaking panorama it offers over the village, the Reginu Valley and the Mediterranean. A fortified town in Balagne, Belgodère has been furnished over the centuries with several towers, such as the Genoese Tower in ruins in Losari. Overlooking the beach of the same name, it served as a watchtower from its promontory. Beautiful religious buildings are also to be found in Belgodère, such as its Baroque church of Saint Thomas (San Tumasgiu), its chapel of Our Lady of Lozari, that of San Roccu, the ruins of the former convent of the Servites on the outskirts of the village and the oratory of Madunuccia.

Belgodère, a place of stroll adored by walkers, with its surrounding forests, its olive groves on the mountainside and its abundant orchards, sees every year some nature lovers tread its paths. Île Rousse is only a few kilometres away, so it will be easy for you to reach its most beautiful beaches and mountains on foot, by bike, motorcycle or car. In all, more than 250 kilometres of hiking trails have recently been secured and rehabilitated across Balagne, from Calvi to Île Rousse via Belgodère. During your stay, you can take different loops depending on your level, such as the "Loop of the Pieve of Aregno" (9.5 kilometres), the "Loop of Focolara" (18 kilometres), or the "Loop of Sant'Antonio" (11 kilometres). You should also know that the magnificent and wild Regino Valley is a hiker's paradise, as is the Agriates desert, whose beauty is breathtaking.

Finally, after discovering the sumptuousness of the Balagne region, the fine sandy beach of "Losari" will allow you to enjoy all the pleasures of the sea. With its incomparable view of the Big Blue, "Losari Beach" is the ideal place for long breaks of idleness under the sun. Very little frequented despite its ideal location and idyllic setting, it will be easy for you to find a place to plant your parasol. Water sports enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a wide range of sports along this nearly 2 km long beach, from sea kayaking to paddling on crystal clear waters of incomparable splendour. On the Île Rousse side (10 minutes from Belgodère), in addition to the towed buoy and boat rental, you can jet-ski, fly fish, wakeboard and water skiing.
