On the other hand, the resort is small and if you don't ski you risk going around the 4 or 5 shops very quickly... A DELICACY!...... "The Golden Combe": go ahead and enjoy your meal. Les Orres is well located and offers leisure activities (hiking, mountain biking for the furious, climbing, 1 indoor swimming pool, an outdoor pool, a sauna, archery, ice rink, cinema, rail sledging, quad biking) but also, 20 minutes away, access to the Serre-Ponçon lake, which offers everything you can find in water sports for young and old (pedal boat, swimming, water skiing, towed buoys, boat rental without a licence, inflatable structures on the water) and if it wasn't enough: everything that can be done in the air (hot air balloon, parachute, flight, etc.)...) and shops open all week long.

Take the 2 chairlifts of the resort of Les Orres which will take you to the peaks at an altitude of more than 2700 meters: superb! Then walk down to the lake in the middle of the marmots and back to the resort (2h30). Do not go through the superb little hike of the "parcours des fées" in Crévoux where artists have left behind some very beautiful works that blend in with nature, the waterfall, the shepherd's house (which can be rented one night and which has an open roof to sleep under the stars!). A good restaurant on the way back with mountain specialities.

For the 5th consecutive year, the "Red Bull Tout Schuss" returns to Les Orres! For those new to the sport, the "Red Bull Tout Schuss" is THE craziest race of the year in the resort. The principle? Start with hundreds of participants, to hurtle down the same track as quickly as possible with the aim of arriving first at the very bottom. From Saturday 14 December, in Les Orres, it's time to start a brand new ski season. A long-awaited event every autumn, the opening of the estate is celebrated here with great pomp and circumstance. For the 3rd consecutive year, "Les Orres Winter Trail" has arrived in the heart of the resort. This night trail by the light of the stars and headlamps will allow you to discover the ski area in a unique and sporty way over 5 or 10 kilometres. Children will also be able to participate in the adventure thanks to a "Kid's course" set up on the snow front of the Orres 1650. 10 kilometres at 18h30, 5 kilometres at 18h40. Finally, from 7:30 pm, competitors will be able to enjoy a good tartiflette at the Espace Rencontre et Culture before the awards are presented.

> A chairlift from the sky? (16-10-2018) :

Freshly dropped off from the air by Super Puma helicopter, the "Pic Vert" chairlift is now well installed in the heart of the resort of Les Orres. This six-seater chairlift will complete and modernize the ski lift fleet of the resort and the Pic Vert sector as of the opening of the 2018 winter season. Located at the arrival of the "Grand Clos" chairlift, it will allow you to reach an altitude of 2246 metres in just 4 minutes: enough to delight mountain bikers and skiers.
