Cauterets knows how to welcome tourists and offers equipment that allows them to be occupied when they are not skiing: library, swimming pool, ice rink, mini-golf, casino, thalasso, multidisciplinary skate park (skate, roller, tennis, basketball, ping-pong, petanque...) games room... There is something for everyone.

A typical restaurant for local specialities not to be missed:'Le Brasero' in a really authentic setting where the welcome of the owners is most pleasant. Also worth mentioning are the restaurants' Lau Tant'hic', excellent refined cuisine. Hiking on the Spanish bridge, the Marcadau valley and the activities in the city centre.

Every hour are made berlingots in front of those who wish to do so at the corner of the central street near the center on the mountain. It's free and very interesting. The tourist office offers guided tours of the city on Tuesdays at 3pm.

A must-see event in Cauterets since 2015, the Pyrenean Festival of Natural Image is back again this year for a 5th edition. At the initiative of the Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage, this event, 100% dedicated to naturalist photography, aims to highlight the amazing beauty and richness of the Pyrenean mountains and their precious fauna. Photo exhibitions, films, photo hikes, nature workshops, debates and conferences will be on the agenda. From 27 to 29 September, in the centre of Cauterets.
